Beata Hunt - Revenue Manager at large
I am the current HUG board secretary and I am honored to have served on the board for the better part of two years. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, I started my post-college career in Retail Management managing stores for companies like Kmart Apparel and Casual Corner. After moving from Spokane, to Missoula, to Glenwood Springs, with Kmart, I traveled to Denver and Santa Maria, California, finally settling in Michigan where, for the past 23 years, I worked for Crystal Mountain. At Crystal I held multiple positions and enjoyed the last 15 years in the role of Revenue Manager. In 2011 I became a Certified Revenue Management Executive.
This spring my career took a turn which prompted me to start my own business, True North Hospitality Solutions, a consulting business focused on Revenue Management and hospitality services. I am applying my expertise and experience in Revenue Management to provide Revenue Management principles to properties that may not otherwise be able to support a Revenue Manager position.
My association with HUG and Springer-Miller has resulted in unforgettable experiences. I have heard repeatedly that there is no other conference in the industry that rivals ours and I concur. It has been my good fortune to have attended many of them, starting with Stowe in 1996. I have visited extraordinary properties with incredible accommodations, increased my level of understanding of Springer-Miller Systems via networking and attending PSMS and User-led sessions, and most importantly, met and worked (and partied) with people for whom hospitably, sincerity and integrity are not learned skills, but fundamental character traits. Many, many thanks go out to PSMS for never missing a beat in their support of our organization.
