MEET THE HUG BOARD

The HUG Board is comprised of Host users from all over the country. Members of the board volunteer their time to plan the yearly conference and produce valuable tools for all HUG members. We don't like to take ourselves too seriously and like to prioritize fun, costume parties and team building activities!

Ruth Eddy

HUG CHAIR 2023

Ruth is the Revenue Manager at Bavarian Inn Lodge & Conference Center in Frankenmuth, MI “Michigan’s Little Bavaria”. She is responsible for the oversight of the Perks Club Loyalty Program and the Front Desk/Reservations operations in addition to her role as Revenue Manager. Ruth has been using SMS|Host for over 7 years and is considered one of her properties super users.

Jacob Davis

TREASURER

Jacob Davis is the Director of Resort Revenue for Lake Lawn Resort & Delavan Lake Resort and a Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager (CHRM).  With a wealth of experience spanning over two decades, he has consistently demonstrated expertise in revenue management, commercial strategy, and total revenue optimization. 

Jacob has used SMS|Host since 2006.

Ryan Diller

TRUSTEE

Ryan Diller is the Director of Owner Services at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe Vermont. He is responsible for overseeing reservations for about 6,000 owner families in Guest Houses and Villas at Springer Millers oldest continuing partner property.

Emily is the Rooms Division Manager at Crystal Mountain Resort. She has been an SMS|Host user and hospitality leader since 2016. The highlight of her role is the ability to create lasting memories for her guests on a daily basis.

Jenn is Reservations Manager at the Historic Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, NY home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Jenn has been with the Otesaga for over 21 years and in the Travel and Hospitality Industry for over 30 years.

ASHLEY NEQUENT

SMS Applications Consultant & Board Liaison

Ashley has worked for Springer Miller Systems for a collective 7 years, starting as a Trainer/Senior Trainer from 2013-2018, and rejoined the team in 2020 as Applications Consultant. Ashley works heavily with both Sales, Account Management and Professional Services teams. Ashley holds a B.S. in Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management from Paul Smith’s College. She started her career in Hospitality at age 14, working at her local KOA, and thereafter working in luxury properties in New York and North Carolina. Ashley lives in the Adirondacks with her husband and their English Lab, Lily Grace.

DEVON MCKERCHER

SMS Marketing specialist & Board Liaison

Devon joined the Springer-Miller Systems team in March 2021 as the Marketing Specialist for SMS |Host. She has a background in Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design. She received her B.A. in Communications and Media Studies from Stetson University and is currently working towards her M.A. in Strategic Communication and Digital Strategy from the University of Oklahoma. Throughout her undergrad, Devon worked a number of service industry jobs including, hosting, events, and serving. Devon lives in Rochester, NY and loves to spend time traveling and hiking with her Beagle, Murray.
