My fondest memory has to be my election to the board. I loved it, love the work and loved the people I met!

I first attended HUG in 1998 when it was at Amelia Island Plantation and in 2000 I once again attended at Snowbird. I was asked by Ken Gay or Carey Waldrip if I knew that I had been nominated for the HUG Board. I was shocked when they called my name not expecting any votes because no one knew me. Later as I was standing on the stage with everybody but me singing "Jailhouse Rock", I wondered what am I doing with all these people I do not even know. I left the party early, actually I am really shy, or maybe because Florida was in the news because of our hanging "chads" and someone was wearing her chair cover.

Our first meeting in Vegas, I met one of the board members when he joined us for breakfast late, sat down and order 2 slices of bacon cooked a certain way and cantaloupe cut in a specific direction... I thought what a jerk! Wrong, he is awesome and a great guy! Through the 4 terms, the Board became like my extended family and when I had to resign my last year, it broke my heart! I have so many friends that I looked forward to seeing every year and was so close to those on the Board. HUG is like a family reunion! Back in those "olden" days when I was Treasurer, I had to enter the information into 3 different systems so I knew everybody's name and learned to put faces and names together. John Springer Miller gave all of us on the board nicknames but he had a hard time finding one for me because I am "so shy and quiet"..and then one day I became Zinger. Imagine that!

Finally, when I thought my life was over, doors opened, things happened and I starting working with Datavision. Sudharshan & Sherry, much like HUG, had become a part of my family when we began using Datavision at Amelia Island Plantation and Hammock Beach. Now, it is a privilege to again attend the HUG Conference as a Vendor because I represent a product I truly believe in and once again see all my friends and adopted family. I am looking forward to returning to Sunriver and encourage all of you to attend. HUG has evolved into a conference of even greater value and the training is phenomenal.

Don't forget to stop and see all the Vendors, especially me at Datavision! I can tell you stories of HUG and almost everybody there, even more important I can help make your job easier.
